MERRY CHRISTMAS GOD’S GREATEST GIFTS TO ME! Happy Holidays! ♥ Unto Us A Child Is Born, Christ Jesus! CHERISH & APPRECIATE Your Loved Ones! o;P
“For unto us a Child is born, unto us a Son is given.” Isaiah 9:5
“Mary gave birth to her first-born son.” Luke 2:7
Today we Christians celebrate the traditional birth of Jesus who we believe to be the Christ. At midnight a great deal of Roman Catholics celebrated the traditional birth of the King of Kings. Though it is unlikely that 2,000 years ago Jesus was truly born on December 25th it is through the faith of Christians that we exuberantly celebrate the birth of Our Lord & Savior Jesus Christ on this one of the Holiest days on the Christian Calendar. While we Christians celebrate with joy this day we also keep in mind what this child, the Son of God will have to endure. This King of Kings who is one third of the Holy Trinity was ultimately born to show us the way, the truth and the life. He will show us unconditional love & forgiveness to the point of death upon a cross. As I reflect upon the life of Jesus and his teachings I am reminded of my Christian baptismal vows.
As a Roman Catholic every year we must affirm our Christian Baptismal Vows.
(Note: These are what I can remember off the top of my head. They may not be totally accurate.)
Do you reject Satan?
I do!
And all his works?
I do!
And all his empty promises?
I do!
Do you believe in God, the Father Almighty, Creator of Heaven and Earth?
I do!
Do you believe in Jesus Christ his only Son, our Lord who was born of the Virgin Mary, was crucified, died, and was buried, rose from the dead, and is now seated at the right hand of the Father?
I do!
Do you believe in the Holy Spirit, the Holy Catholic Church, the Communion of Saints, The Forgiveness of Sins, The Resurrection of The Body & Life Everlasting?
I do!
As a Roman Catholic Christian I do my very best to take my religion and faith very seriously. Taking to heart my baptismal vows and what being a Christian truly means. And admittedly I fail at living up to my baptismal vows every day. However, it is through my spiritual relationship with my God that I am motivated to do the impossible. It is through God that I am indeed going for that impossible dream of dreams… the quest of mastering and manifesting unconditional love & forgiveness. And it is through Jesus that I am shown the way, the truth and the life. It is through Jesus that we Christians are shown how a human being can indeed master and manifest unconditional love & forgiveness. That is the way, the truth and the life.
Being a Christian means that we must indeed carry our cross, be willing to die on it so that we may rise from the dead. Jesus the Christ showed us the way, the truth and the life. Jesus showed us the way as he carried the cross. Jesus showed us the truth as he unconditionally loved and forgave us regardless of how many times we’ve not. Jesus showed us the life as he gave his by dying on the cross and thus on the third day rising from the dead and thus giving us eternal life.
And so on this Christmas day as we celebrate it with loved ones and as we unwrap the gifts they give us let us remember the reason for this Holiday is the greatest of all and any gift we have been given. And it is through that greatest of any gift that we have been given that we are also called to give the greatest of any gift that we can possibly give. And that is love & forgiveness! It is that gift that is eternal and everlasting and that will continue when this world no longer exists. It is a gift that is worth more than anything of material and price. It is that gift that you can give when our bodies are dust. And it is this gift of unconditional love & forgiveness that I will continue to attempt to give to each and every one of my God’s creations and his Greatest Gifts To Me! This is my Christmas gift to you that I will never ever quit trying to attempt to give you. It is this Christmas gift to you that I will do my best to keep on giving you no matter how many times I fail. Because I love you and because you are created in the image and likeness of my God and because God thinks you’re worth it. If God created you, you must be worth it!
It matters not if you are a Christian, Agnostic or even Atheist… what matters is that my faith tells me you are created in the image and likeness of God and my Lord & Savior Jesus Christ was born today for you. That is more than enough for me to attempt to love you unconditionally and forgive you unconditionally. There is no greater love than to give one’s life for a friend. To love someone enough to carry a cross… to forgive someone enough die upon it. Yes! Jesus indeed shows us the way, the truth and the life. Jesus who was 100% Human and 100% divine… just like us! Jesus who makes the impossible very possible shows us the way, the truth and the life. Jesus was born on this day for the purpose of the way, the truth and the life. Jesus was born on this day to challenge us to live the way, the truth and the life. Jesus was born on this day to encourage us to give the way, the truth and the life as our greatest Christmas gift to our God’s creations.
I want to take this opportunity to THANK YOU for being God’s Greatest Gifts To Me! I want to THANK YOU for allowing my God to use you to show me just how much he loves me. I want to THANK YOU for challenging me to be a better person. It matters not if you are a pleasant and positive motivating force within my life or a negative motivating force within my life I want to THANK YOU from the depths of my heart and soul and being for showing me just how OMNIPOTENT, AWESOME, BEAUTIFUL, LOVING & FORGIVING my GOD TRULY IS! I wish you and those you love nothing but LOVE & BLISS. I wish you and those you love a VERY MERRY CHRISTMAS and a HAPPY NEW YEAR!
Please take care because YOU ALL ARE INDEED GOD BLESSED… and because YOU ARE PART OF THE REASON I AM INDEED GOD BLESSED!
Glory Be To The Father!
To The Son!
And To The Holy Spirit!
As It Was In The Beginning Is Now And Forever Shall Be World Without End!
Amen!
