My Grandpa was born in the Philippines March 12th 91 years ago. And it is March 12th in the Philippines right now. I wanted to say HAPPY BIRTHDAY! I love and miss you more than words could ever say.

In my late teens and in my 20s he stepped up to the plate and became my Daddy. He was everything my biological Father wasn’t and isn’t and will ever be. My Grandpa was the reason I celebrated “Fathers Day.” He to this day remains the only Man in my life that I truly trusted, was comfortable and felt safe with. I could be me with him. I could talk to him about everything and anything from sex, to guys, to you name it I could talk to him about it and he didn’t judge me. He just loved me and wanted to show me there are right and honorable Men in the world. He gave me tons of advice and I carry what he taught me with me everywhere I go. I cherished every second of his life with him. He was my everything! To this day no other Man can compare!

He’s currently hanging out with God but because he’s not limited by the body he’s also with me and my Mommy. I’m very thankful and grateful that God let me be his first born Grandchild. I love my birthright and I drink it up. But one of the things I learned and aspire for that my Grandpa taught me was how to have a very good and long lasting until death marriage. I aspire to have the kind of marriage that my Grandparents had. All four of my Grandparents had marriages that lasted to the death. My Mom’s Dad had two successful marriages… the first to my Grandma until her death and the second to the Mother of my favorite Uncle and Aunt. My bioDad’s Mom had two successful marriages… the first to my Grandpa and the second to the only Paternal Grandpa I’ve ever known since my real Paternal Grandpa died before my bioDad and I was born. The kind of marriages that my Grandparents have are what I want for myself. I miss all of them!

But especially my Grandpa… I mean, my Daddy! I could write for days about how much my Grandpa means to me. I’ll always be grateful and thankful to him that he stepped up and became my Daddy. I’ll always be grateful and thankful that he above all Men in my world showed me how to love and respect a Woman. I’ll always be grateful and thankful that he above all Men loved me enough to go through heaven and hell for me. He above all Men never judged me and all he did was love me, teach me and gave me his all. I will never ever forget him and I hope in many ways to Marry a Man like him.

Happy Birthday Daddy… no other Man has lived up to you in my life. You are the only Man I’ve ever known in my life that was worth everything I gave you and should have given to you. You and my Mommy raised me right and well. And I will do better in part in your honor. I miss you… but I know you’re here with me. I hope you and my other Grandparents are partying it up in heaven. Say “HI” to my other Grandparents. And let them know I hope to manifest all my dreams before I join the party.
